As President & CEO of Greenpoint Associates, Tom McGaugh provides nearly two decades of financial accounting excellence and experience supporting start-ups, small businesses, and publicly traded companies across the globe. Tom began his career with Big Four accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers, specializing in complex auditing for both public and private companies. PwC provided Tom a flexible and transparent expectation of high performance and pushed him daily to be the best he could be. This immense opportunity for leadership development combined with being highly integrated into a real-time feedback culture, built the foundation that would define his success.

Tom’s diligent work ethic eventually led him to become Vice President of Finance for Tilray, Inc., a U.S. publicly traded company on the NASDAQ with global operations in over seven countries. Tom helped Tilray make history by being the first cannabis company to debut on a major U.S. stock exchange.  He was instrumental in getting the company ready for its IPO and proudly flew to New York City to ring the bell in July of 2018.

While at Tilray, Tom held several senior level positions and flew all over the world presiding over a diverse financial team of more than thirty professionals operating in multiple countries.  He was integral in establishing and supporting SEC financial reporting, SOX 404 program implementation, and equity program management and administration.  His efforts were cross-functional, allowing him to impact key areas of the business such as financial planning and analysis, corporate governance, and IT automation.

Before joining Tilray, Tom served as the Director of Finance for Privateer Holdings, where he was highly involved in the creation and establishment of accounting and finance operations for several wholly owned start-up companies across a wide array of industries. Tom also held key finance positions at Seattle Genetics, an established and dynamic public biotech giant in the Pacific Northwest.  He became an authority on SEC financial reporting, audit execution, and the management of accounting operations.
